To be awarded to the puppy who, before its first birthday, has obtained the highest number of points based on the following system:
BEST PUPPY IN BREED (at least 2 competing) 1 Pt
BEST PUPPY IN GROUP 10 pts
BEST PUPPY IN SHOW 25 pts
BEST OF BREED (at least 10 competing) 10 pts
BEST PUPPY AT A NATIONAL SPECIALTY.. 10 pts
BEST PUPPY AT A REGIONAL SPECIALTY.. 5 pts
The maximum number of points awarded in one show is 25.


BLACKPOOL BEST BABY PUPPY OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award is given annually to the breeders and/or owners of the Top baby puppy of the previous year.  To receive a keeper trophy and have their name engraved on the trophy, the Breeder or Owner MUST be a GRCC Member.

Winning Criteria
To be awarded to the puppy who, before its six month birthday, has obtained the highest number of points based on the following system:
BEST BABY PUPPY IN BREED (Based on CKC point system)

Baby puppies competing
1                      0 points
2                      1 point
3-5                  2 points
6-9                  3 points
10-12              4 points
13 or more    5 points

BEST BABY PUPPY IN GROUP 10 points
BEST BABY PUPPY IN SHOW 15 pts
BEST BABY PUPPY AT A NATIONAL SPECIALTY 10 pts
BEST BABY PUPPY AT A REGIONAL SPECIALTY 5 pts

The maximum number of points awarded in one show is 25.

The puppy must defeat a minimum of one other baby puppy in all classes of competition to earn points and proof of other entries in the ring must be provided (photos of judges sheets).

As Baby Puppy is an “unofficial” class and results are not recorded by the CKC, all wins MUST be verified by submitting a photograph of the judges sheet along with the Award Application or a copy of the wins as published by the official Show Secretary.
